CONTACTO is a manufacturer and distributor of products for hotels, restaurants and catering in Erkrath, Germany. The focus is on professional tableware for kitchen, service and table. CONTACTO was founded in 1958, is still family-owned in the third generation has about 85 employees. Over 6,000 products are stored on 12,000 square meters of warehouse space. This makes the company one of the leading HoReCa suppliers in Europe.
CONTACTO serves markets in Germany and Europe. From snack bars to top gastronomy, from guesthouses to international hotel chains such as Sheraton or Marriott, are among the end customers of the products. TUI and AIDA cruise ships are mainly equipped with CONTACTO products.
CONTACTO stainless steel products for the kitchen, such as saucepans and Gastronorm containers, are among the best-selling products. The reason for this is the consistently high quality that has prevailed on the market for decades. Many of the products are manufactured on the company's own tools or in its own Pakistan production plant, which gives CONTACTO full control over production quality and compliance with international ocial and environmental requirements in the supply chain.
Sales are primarily carried out via an international dealer network. This means that replenishments for end customers in these countries can be carried out easily and cost-effectively. In Germany, CONTACTO was named “Best Partner” of the German specialist trade in 2022. CONTACTO received top marks from industry experts for product quality, delivery reliability and dependability in the kitchenware and tableware categories.
In 2021, the world's leading supplier of buffet systems FRILICH was acquired and is now part of CONTACTO. The 1,400 square meter warehouse in Buseck, Germany, stocks 2,500 items. FRILICH focuses on solutions for hotel buffets, in particular food refrigeration. Most of the products are “Made in Germany”.
FRILICH pays particular attention to functional and hygienic quality and adaptation to the ambience of the hotel. Cooling options are available for all presentation options. The supply of spare parts is guaranteed for many years. FRILICH buffets are a hotel's calling card when it comes to catering for hotel guests.

CONNECT - The ideal buffet solution when space is limited
The CONNECT buffet system from FRILICH helps arrange cereals, milk, juices, jam and more – Elegant, space-saving and with a lot of verve for breakfast buffets.
The key to CONNECT is the practical, heavy base, which gives strength and stability to the buffet and enables you to offer a variety of options. Thanks to a clever indentation in the sides, bases can easily be fitted together and set up in attractive rows or semi-circles to save space.
Cereal is dispensed from the attractive CONNECT Hopper, designed like the pipes of an organ and available in three sizes, (2.5 litre, 3.5 litre and 4.5 litre), using a stylish rotating handle. The chute helps ensure cereal ends up in the guest’s bowl, rather than on the table.
The CONNECT base can also be used for the CONNECT Goblet for particularly voluminous or sugar-coated cereals. Guests then serves themselves using a serving spoon. Alternatively, Muesli flutes, particularly useful for pouring very finely ground cereals such as oat flakes, will also fit in the CONNECT base.
In addition to the various cereal applications, FRILICH also offers 3 and 4 litre juice dispensers, as part of the CONNECT buffet system, since they fit the CONNECT bases as well. For a larger range of juices, the dispensers can be supplemented with glass or plastic carafes, which also fit in the CONNECT bases. Porcelain carafes for milk and jam jars in plastic or porcelain complete the CONNECT range of applications.
